Advice to the Young However Old
by: Dana Stamps, II

“There is no passion to be found playing it small – in settling
for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
                            – Nelson Mandela

Experiment with yourself.  Go all the way, or part
of the way, or this way or that, or back, sideways,
and back again back to that.  Do something different
if what ain’t working now ain’t working now.

And if it is, challenge it so that you don’t mistake
happiness for complacency – and are distracted
from the sadness of joy.  Play chess against yourself.
Whatever your whim, seek out the opposite opinions,

then if your opinions change or are made unsure, seek out
the opinion leaders of what you were formerly sure of:
this is how you become deep, more alive, more awake,
more competent and more confident in your competence,

more relaxed.  Experiment with yourself.  There is
no safety, and no danger that matters.  Go all the way.
